PESHAWAR: The TTP’s Mehsud faction has beheaded one of the six hostages kidnapped last year from Drazinda area in Dera Ismail Khan (D. I. Khan) district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province (KP), reported FATA Research Center.
Various reports have been received at PakistanTribe desk, some of the reports suggest that the employees abducted were all safe, pleading for their lives, as per latest video release, including Tribune.
While other sources believe that those employees were abducted in on 26 November 2016, and one of the six hostages has been beheaded today.
According to Tribune, the workers were kidnapped in Dera Ismail Khan while carrying out exploration work for oil and gas surveyor Geofizyka Krakow. A Polish engineer from the same company was kidnapped in late 2008 near the same area and beheaded several months later.

The company has been in liquidation since August, and a spokesperson for its parent company, PGNiG, told Reuters at the time the six were kidnapped that they were “sub-contractors”.
While FRC reported referring to the same video that Mehsud Taliban faction led by Khan Said aka Sajna Mehsud of the TTP claimed the beheading in a video message recorded in the Urdu language.
In the video, Taliban have threatened to behead the other five hostages, if the government of Pakistan fails to comply with their demands. All the hostages belong to district Attock of Punjab province.
In a previous video, the hostages had appealed to the government and officials of Geofizyka Krakow to secure their release by accepting demands of the TTP. The TTP is asking for a huge sum as a ransom to release the hostage.
