LONDON – BBC Urdu reported on Friday that in the up-coming elections as much as 30 candidates of Pakistani-origins will contest in the United Kingdom elections.

The report on the Political Parties lists, the Labor party has given more tickets to the Pakistani nationals than any other party.

Labor Party has given permission to 14 Pakistanis to work as a candidate for these elections. These include Shabana Mahmood, Khalid Mahmood, and Perry Barr in Birmingham, Yasmin Qureshi in Bolton, Naseem Shah and Imran Hussain in Bradford, and Rosena Allin-Khan.

The liberal democratic have nine Pakistani-origin candidates and the ruling party has six candidates, Scottish National Party has one British Pakistani to represent in the elections.

London has the highest number of Pakistanis who will contest in upcoming elections.

Interestingly, Labor party has the majority of the woman with the percentage of 41 percent, also 50 members of various minority groups will contest on the ticket of the party.
