ISLAMABAD – Islamabad’s district and session’s judge Pervaiz-ul-Qadir Memon has confessed to taking Rs 5,000,000 bribe in the Axact fake degree case and acquitting Shoaib Sheikh in return, according to a show-cause notice issued.
As per the show-cause notice, judge Pervaiz admitted to taking a bribe from Axact CEO Shoaib Sheikh for acquitting him from the Axact fake degree case.
According to Samaa News, the notice further mentioned that Pervaiz-ul-Qadir admitted to taking the bribe in front of the Promotion Committee.
However, Pervaiz-ul-Qadir has now denied the allegations and challenged the show-cause notice in the Islamabad High Court.
Hearing of the case will be conducted tomorrow at the Islamabad High Court. Proceedings will be heard by Justice Aamir Farooq.
Pervaiz-ul-Qadir has been suspended and a response has been sought from him in 14 days.
