SBP to remain shut on May 29

ISLAMABAD – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)’s press release said that it will remain closed for public dealing on May 29, 2017, which will be observed as ‘Bank Holiday’ for the purpose of deduction of Zakat.

The SBP bank announced that all banks/ Development Finance Institutions (DFIs)/Microfinance Banks (MFBs) will remain closed on May 29, 2017, for the public dealings.

However, all the employees of banks /DFIs/MFBs will attend the office on Bank Holiday treating it as a normal working day.

The Holy month of Ramadan will be celebrated soon in Pakistan; Government has taken all the initiatives to avoid any mishap during the month.

Bachat Bazars also working in many areas of the country to provide healthy and fresh food to people, although the price hike of households is a matter of concern for the authorities.

The Sindh HIGH Court has ordered recently to keep cheek and balance on the prices of households during Ramadan.
