MULTAN – Member National Assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti’s bail plea would be filed on Monday, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Babar Awan told reporters Saturday.
Awan said he met Dasti along with PTI’s legal team in the jail today and assured him to file his bail plea when the court opens on Monday.
The lawyer claimed that jail authorities have been warned from torturing the politician.
Awami Raj Party MNA Jamshed Ahmed Dasti, who is in police custody for last three weeks, has claimed that he is being tortured and starved by police in Multan Central Jail.
Dasti accused that he had been severely beaten by police and deprived of food for many days, adding that rats and scorpions were released in his jail cell to ‘torture’ him.
