ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) stated Tuesday that it received 3,000 complaints of blasphemy contents on Social Networking sites.

The web pages of Facebook, Youtube and Daily motion contain some blasphemous content which was being scrutinized by the management of Social Media after the request of Pakistan government.
He further revealed that merely 1660 websites contain blasphemous content, the officials told the standing committee of National Assembly that a delegation from Facebook will visit Pakistan soon which discussed the content.
The chairman the of the committee also asked the ministry to hold a conference with the delegation after its arrival, an official of FIA told that after the passage of Cyber Crime Bill four people have been arrested in blasphemy-related cases.
