KARACHI – Sindh Police have begun to water-cannon and she’ll tear gas to resist workers of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) workers as the mob tries to enter the Red Zone and the Chief Minister (CM) House on Sunday in ‘million march’ rally.
UPDATE: According to latest reports from local media, PSP chief Mustafa Kamal was also injured during the shelling and water cannon from the police.
Reportedly, police have baton-charged the PSP supporters who participated in a march called by party chief Mustafa Kamal in a bid to have the government meet their demands, Dunya News reported.
The police action began after the deadlock in talks between Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and PPP. The parties could not agree on six demands, according to the sources.
On Saturday, PSP chief had said that he expects one million people to march towards the “palace of the Sindh chief minister” for their rights. He presented 16 demands to resolve problems faced by citizens of Karachi.
The rally, he had announced, would move from the FTC building on Shahrah-e-Faisal to protest against the ‘poor governance’ of the PPP government in Sindh.
