PESHAWAR – The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed the authorities to acquire some land for the 545-megawatt electricity production in Kohistan.

He also told to extend all possible help to the concerned company for Kaiga Hydro project, an electricity generating project.

CM issued the directives in a meeting attended by Education Minister Muhammad Atif Khan, MNA Sajida Zulfiqar Khan, SK-E&C General Manager Eddy Nam, Manager Choris Hwans, National Engineering Cooperation Director Babar Mehmood and others.

The project will cost $1.42 billion and would be completed through South Korean firm SK-E&C, the member of the meeting were informed by the details of the project.

The firm facing problems in getting land for the project, KP government assured it about the land.

Khattak while welcoming the South Korean inverter said that government has transplant mechanism to attract investors in the province.

He said that the government will support the foreign investors.
