ISLAMABAD – The government of Pakistan and a Chinese company has signed an agreement to build a 300-megawatt coal-fired power plant in Gwadar on Tuesday.
The project will be established under the banner of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The agreement was signed between Private Power and Infrastructure Board and China Communication and Construction Company.
A new Hub coal-fired project is also under construction, the head of company revealed that the project will benefit both countries.
Wang Bingua said that the mega project will be completed till 2019, which will help the country in mitigating the power crisis.
Lots of projects are under construction from Chinese companies, many of them were built to ratify the menace of power shortage from the country.
The deadline for many projects going on under the banner of CPEC is approximately equal, the government of Pakistan vows to kill the power crisis across the country in a short period of time.
