KARACHI – An official of the Edhi Ambulance Services has stated on Saturday that no casualties have been reported due to heatstroke in the largest metropolitan city.
The official further revealed that several dead bodies were brought to the Edhi cold storage home, but they were not the victims of excessive heat.
However, in the death certificates of these, ‘heatstroke’ was not mentioned as the cause, as quoted by PakistanToday.
It should be noticed that a huge number of people died in Karachi due to the heat wave in past few years, the majority of them were old and children.
The authorities are trying to lower the death rate after the incident of 2012, and indeed they were very much succeeded in their goal.
The NGO’s has also worked through and stil, they are working, supplying water to the needy people in many areas of Karachi.
