ISLAMABAD – The senior politician and Leader of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Nehal Hashmi has resigned on Wednesday after his threatening speech to Supreme Court and members of Joint Investigation Team (JIT).
CJP has summoned Hashmi to Supreme Court on Thursday to clarify his statement.
Nehal had earlier today threatened Supreme Court judges and JIT members for worst consequences once the in-services officials get retired.
He went on to say that all those who are in-service and holding Nawaz Sharif’s son accountable and are demanding accountability of the Sharif family, are serving today but will retire tomorrow.
"All of you who are asking for accountability will not be spared,” Hashmi said. He added that they will make Pakistan a difficult country for them to live in.
PM Nawaz reportedly terminated Nehal’s party membership and demanded his resignation from the Senatorship.
