PESHAWAR – The Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has agreed on a proposal to ban mobile night packages.

The KP Assembly has passed on Friday seven resolutions unanimously; the controversial one speaks about banning mobile phone night packages.

According to detail, the seven resolutions passed by the KP Assembly include: reinstatement of Swat airport, making Malakand division the part of the economic corridor, inclusion of Abdul Sattar Edhi in the KP text-books, banning mobile companies to provide night packages, ensuring the provision of gas supplies to various areas and empower the people the right to vote.

The detail says all these resolutions have been presented by Muhmmad Ali and Rashidah Rifaet Jumat-e-Islami (JI) members, Sahibzadhah Sanaullah Pakistan people’s party (PPP) member, Amna Sardar Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) member and Uzma Khan Jamiat-e-Ulema-e Islam (JUI).

Earlier a massive uproar was seen in different politicians and educationists across Pakistan that the mobile phone companies across the country are playing with the life of the young generation.

According to one estimates, since the addition of smartphone has occurred in the lifestyle of the general public, more money wastage and attention diverging utilities are eating up the potential of the people.

Yet other studies consider cell phone to be a great stride in the field of science and technology that has provided ease and comfort to the public, making studies resources and distant relatives available at our disposal.

In the past, such legislations have seen a contentious and fierce debate amongst the parliamentarians in the county.

Shesha smoking ban (a sort of recreational activity of consuming and puffing flavored smoke which was harmful) has been proposed which the parliamentarians believed to be spoiling the life of the young generation.
