ISLAMABAD – Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has stated that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) cannot annul the death penalty of Kulbhushan Jhadav given by Pakistan’s military court.

“Jhadav had confessed to carrying out terrorist activities inside Pakistan and was a naval officer using a fake passport, he said, as quoted by Tribune.

While addressing media, Aziz stated that the victim is detained according to the Law of Pakistan.

Jhadav was arrested during an operation carried out by forces in Balochistan in March 2016, after some time he confessed before the court in a video that he was working to destabilize Pakistan.

The culprit adheres that he is an on-duty agent of Indian spy agency ROW, assigned to sabotage the activities in Balochistan and Karachi, convicted last month by the Military court and sentenced to death.

The advice denied the Indian stance that Pakistan has lost his case in ICJ; the wrong impression was created by the Indian media.
