ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Saqib Nisar has o taken sou motu notice of Paksitan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Nehal Hashmi’s condemnable, threatening speech.
CJP has summoned Hashmi to Supreme Court on Thursday to clarify his statement.
Nehal had earlier today threatened Supreme Court judges and JIT members for worst consequences once the in-services officials get retired.
Justice Saqib stated that Nehal Hashmi will appear before the three-member bench headed by Justice Afzal which is currently hearing Panama Case.
Nehal in his speech on Wednesday morning said, "We are the workers of PML-N. All of you who are asking for accountability, we will make a day of accountability for you.”
He went on to say that all those who are in-service and holding Nawaz Sharif’s son accountable and are demanding accountability of the Sharif family, are serving today but will retire tomorrow.
"All of you who are asking for accountability will not be spared,” Hashmi said. He added that they will make Pakistan a difficult country for them to live in.
"You are making life of PM Sharif difficult. The Pakistani nation will make life difficult for you,” Hashmi said.
Nehal Hashmi, talking exclusively with Samaa TV, said that he did not name anyone in his statements.
"I spoke against those who are trying to stop Pakistan from developing,” he said.
PML-N leader Jan Achakzai has said that Hashmi’s statements has nothing to do and was his personal remarks.
