RAWALPINDI: The district government of Rawalpindi has announced to set up 16 sasta and 5 Ramadan Bazaars on Wednesday which will help people to purchase quality food at a low price.
This step has been taken in a meeting at District Commissioner (DC) Talat Mahmood’s office, to make sure the supply of quality food during the holy month.
These bazars will start functioning till 24 May, Fruits, meat, soft drinks, sugar, pulses, and other things will be available there.
DC also ordered to make sure the availability of shopping trollies, tent, chairs and a medical camp in bazaars, he also directed the power supplier company for the uninterrupted supply of electricity.
To kill the concerns over the rates of commodities the rate list of all the items will be displayed on every stall.
“Stern actions would be taken against those who are found selling commodities at a higher rate to the customers. The violators shall be fined and their stalls shall be suspended” said Talat Mehmood Gondal, as quoted by Pakistan Today.
