ISLAMABAD – The demand for cars in Pakistan has declined by 12 percent despite suspected high demand in the market of local automobiles.
A report of Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) showed that three major automobiles companies of Pakistan have managed to sell just 17,443 units in April.
Pak Suzuki Motors Ltd sold out 9,171 units, Indus motor company stood on the second position with the sale of 4,753 units and Honda cars remained on the third position by selling 3,519 units respectively in the month of April.
The limited production capacity also affected the sales number in April; replacement of new cars also took place in the month.
Honda Civic was reportedly the highest demand of customers in the whole month and still in high demand.
The customers have to wait long for the supply of their ordered cars and in some cases, they have to pay extra money to get the car on time.
