PARACHINAR – Parachinar victims’ families have ended their protest after Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa convinced them to fulfill all their demands.
Following the win suicide blast in the area which killed over 80 people, the Turi and Bangash tribes were staging a protest for the past eight days.
Gen. Bajwa called on the victims’ families and convinced them to end week-long sit-in
"All Pakistanis are equal to me even if they are non-Muslims,” he said.
The army chief said that Parachinar is a part of Pakistan. "Every inch and every individual is important,” he said.
General Bajwa also said that he was sad on the deaths which took place in the terrorist attack.
COAS said that he was in Turkey when the incident took place.
He said that the war against terrorism cannot be won without the people of Parachinar.
"Those creating difference should be isolated while the others should unite,” he added.
